UNIT 1 ANIMALS

#Different animals have different external features. The external features of animals enable us to  recognise and differentiate them.

# A sea horse is actually a fish. Its head looks similar to the head of a horse. It is a unique fish because it swims in a vertical position with its head up and tail down.

# Usually , birds fly in the sky, but penguins found in the Antarctic ' fly' in the water. Their wings are useless on the ground, but they help the penguins swims so fast that they look like they are flying in water.

# When bar magnets are not in use, they should be kept in pairs: South pole to North pole, with an iron keeper at each end.

 # Most magnetic things are made of steel and iron.

# Normally, large magnets are stronger than small magnets, but sometimes the opposite is true.

# A compass needle will naturally point towards the Earth's magnetic north pole.
